All Ireland Scholarships 2020 Update
The All Ireland Scholarships for 2020 will be awarded on the basis of the following criteria:
-
That part of the qualifying eligibility which requires exemption from payment of the Leaving Certificate examination fee has been replaced by the requirement to have a medical card at any time during the year ended 31 December 2020
-
Students being considered for a scholarship will be contacted by the Department of Education in order to verify Medical Card entitlement
-
Scholarships will be awarded from the cohort of qualifying students who achieve the minimum the minimum Leaving Certificate examination results set by the Trustees, and which is lower than the level on which any scholarships were awarded during the five year period ended in 2019.
-
Unfortunately, due to the suspension of the A Levels and BTEC Examinations there will be no All Ireland Scholarships awarded in Northern Ireland for 2020 or 2021.
All Ireland Scholarships 2021 Update
The All Ireland Scholarships for 2021 will be awarded on a substantially similar basis with the precise number of scholarships on offer to be determined once the candidate numbers sitting 5 subjects or more in the Leaving Certificate examination become known.
